Expectations

It is expected that all team members deliver their highest quality of work to the team and to the California Native Garden Foundation. To ensure that this occurs, all work will be reviewed by the team as a whole before being submitted for grading or submitted to our partner organization.

As outlined below (see Policies and Procedures), it is also expected that all team members attend group and class meetings unless prior notification is given, and that all members participate equally. Division of work into smaller categories will help to ensure that each member is doing their part for the greater goal of the team.

Due to the frequency of team meetings (weekly), it is expected that team members respond to email communication within 24 hours, text communication within 12 hours and update Team Drive documents within 36 hours of meeting.

Policies and Procedures

  1. Our team will meet on a weekly basis, either on Tuesdays from 1:30-2:15 PM or Thursday’s from 9:15-10:00 AM, depending on the week. We will decide upon our next team meeting the week prior, selecting one of these two time slots depending on people’s schedules.

  2. It is expected that everyone attends group meetings and class meetings, unless the team is notified the week prior.

  3. Decisions will be made through a team vote, with a standard majority rule. Before decisions are made, all team members will have the opportunity to speak to the group regarding their thoughts and/or feelings. Our team will ensure that we are facilitating free conversation over the course of our project.

  4. Evidence of each member’s contributions can be found on our Google Team Drive. All information updates, pertinent research and solution components will be found on the drive.

Consequences

First and second incidents of misconduct or failure to meet expectations will be addressed by the team as a whole in a team meeting. Following incidents will be addressed with Max and/or Dr. JAK as the team sees fit.
